So far, this way of cooking mackerel has been the tastiest one in my life! Despite its price and health benefits, I, like many other people, generally do not like mackerel because of its specific fish fat smell; however, this baked mackerel with its delicious, complementary sauce has completely changed my preferences. Thus, regardless of whether you like mackerel or not, be sure that this recipe will become one of your favourites for years! Moreover, the main and side dishes are prepared simultaneously that is really time-efficient. Don’t even hesitate!
Vanilla-walnut crescent rolls
These aromatic vanilla crescent rolls belong to the Austrian national cuisine and are traditionally baked for Christmas. And although it’s already well past Christmas, winter is still right there, behind the window. So, don’t waste your time and give these rolls a try, for they are extremely easy to cook and taste really divine!
Cranberry cheesecake
This aromatic cranberry cheesecake is the very taste of snowy winter holidays. Just imagine spicy chocolate wrapping, creamy cheese filling, and thick fragrant cranberry sauce with a slight note of tartness… mm, delicious! The ideal sweet-sour balance of this cheesecake will make you lose control and literally devour it! All the steps being perfectly easy, the cheesecake doesn’t require lots of time to cook. So, allow yourself a bit of winter heaven!
Italian-style salad
This light Italian-style salad with soft mozzarella, fragrant basil, sweet tomatoes, bits of bacon and a delicious sauce is like a whiff of summer in the midst of dull winter. It’s perfectly easy to cook and can make for a romantic Italian dinner with a glass of dry red wine. Or, more prosaically, it can be a side dish for any meat or fish. Try it and bring some bright freshness in your daily routine!
Baking or frying
Hi, everyone! After 5-months-following (and I believe cooking) my recipes, you’ve probably grasped not a couple of new words, especially those related to the topic of cooking. So, let’s check how well you know them – or finally learn them!
Tex-Mex Rainbow salad
It’s time for a rainbow! This pretty simple and tasty salad is extremely nutritious and can make for a perfect lunch or dinner. It’s also an ideal side dish for meat or fish. Although there are not all rainbow colours, it’s still very bright and colourful, and it will certainly improve your winter mood. So, give it a try and add some new colours to your life!
Mexican rice
This Mexican rice is a traditional Mexican dish that’ll make you look at rice from completely different angle even if you’ve hated it for all your life! It’s blissfully aromatic and fluffy (no much-hated clumps!) and just a bit spicy. To make it more like main dish, you can add canned corn, chili pepper, bell pepper or anything that comes to your mind. Otherwise, it’s one of my favourite side dishes, so give it a try!
Cheesy ‘mandarins’
These delicious, cheesy and spicy ‘mandarins’ – with a hint of carrot sweetness or delicate nutty flavor – make for a perfect winter appetizer. They’re so bright, colourful and tasty they’ll disappear from your table the quickest! An incredible idea to surprise your guests or family!
Buckwheat-bryndza bake with seeds
This is an ideal fitness dish; the dish that makes you jump, run, create, and not just take a nap. It’s really delicious and nourishing, full of protein, and a perfect alternative to mundane boiled buckwheat: with spicy bryndza and crunchy sesame and linseeds it turns into something really exquisite! By the way, it’s also a wonderful opportunity to ‘recycle’ yesterday-old buckwheat that no one is willing to eat. So, give it a try!
Italian biscotti
These Italian biscuits with varied filling are unbelievably tasty: so crunchy, aromatic and – incredibly – healthy (low sugar and fat rate, lots of nuts)! They’re really easy and fast to cook as well. Try them with coffee or white wine and dive into the hedonist’s paradise!
